Hosted by Val d'Avalon
with Jessy Lindsay and Wassim
Val d'Avalon:
Val d'Avalon is a francophone singer-songwriter based in Ottawa. She grew up on stage and has performed on most of the major stages in the Outaouais region. Her notebooks full of lyrics, her guitar and her ukulele have followed her to several continents and through all the stages of her life. But it was motherhood and the desire to pass on her passion for music to her daughters that gave her the courage to take the leap and share her songs with the rest of the world. Her lyrics, carried by the chords of the acoustic guitar, are both an outlet for the ups and downs of everyday life and an expression of her way of seeing the world. Her songs are available on all streaming platforms. Visit valdavalon.com to find out more!
Wassim:
Wassim is an Outaouais-based singer-songwriter. He uses his warm voice to sing the poetry of everyday life. It's with sincerity that he invites people to sing with him, because in his view, music is first and foremost a way of telling stories, and therefore of coming together. In love with his family, in love with the French language and in love with his countries, come and meet him on the road of life. His album Portrait is available on all streaming platforms. You can also learn more about Wassim's world by visiting wassimartiste.com.
Jessy Lindsay:
Jessy Lindsay is a Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter who explores her experiences as a young queer woman in our patriarchy-drenched society. The indie-pop artist paints a picture of her reality with authentic lyrics and catchy melodies. Last year, Jessy had the chance to perform at the Festival franco-ontarien and the NAC's Fourth Stage. You can find her EP "J'explose" as well as her singles on all streaming platforms. To find out more, visit jessylindsay.com.
