MELISSA LAUREN:
Toronto-based songwriter Melissa Lauren is that rarest of performers, one as comfortable in jazz and rootsy soul as in pop, as well as the space where the two genres converge. Whether covering a classic or elevating an original, Lauren never fails to locate a song’s emotional core. The live show features songs from her latest album with dynamic interplay between local Jon Hynes on guitar , and the audience.
Melissa has toured across North America including the Halifax International Jazz Festival, NXNE, showcased at Alberta Showcase in 2023x FMO in 2021, FAI in 2022, Yardbird Festival, Bflat club in Berlin, and Opus Jazz Club in Budapest’s.

KAYA FRASER:
Ottawa-based Kaya Fraser’s music "flirts with soul and blues, jazz and country, but ultimately, hangs together as ... beautifully cohesive and promising" (Exclaim!). Kaya has played shows and festivals across Canada, opening for the likes of Good Lovelies, Royal Wood, Justin Rutledge and others, and creating a buzz with her intimate, compelling performances. Ron Sexsmith recognized the promise in Kaya's "lovely voice and natural songwriting."
